Should’ve posted this around Thanksgiving….

I love this time of year, from Halloween to New Year’s Day. I love the weather, the music, and the traditions. And the weather.

For some reason, a few years ago we began spending the day after Thanksgiving at the Texas Renaissance Festival. Now it’s a tradition; when we skipped last year, we had to listen to weeks of whine.

So this year we trekked out there with two of the BILs, who brought along Monsters 4 and 6 through 9.

This thing is a bigger money suck than any¬† amusement park you’ve ev er been to.

Anyway – here are pictures because I think our kids are just so damn cute. (And a lot more obnoxious in person.) Click to embiggen.

Monster No. 4 (aka Calvin) on a throne. He looks kind of comfortable there, doesn’t he?

A Twinkie (Monster No. 7) on the bungee trampoline. This child is 7 of 9. It’s fitting, and scary.

I do love Christmas! My mom always starts putting the tree up turkey day or the day after. The house is always decked out with lights and garland with boat loads of cookies. This is my first Christmas away from home and it doesn’t feel the same at all. No decorations or even a tree yet. I’m waiting for that day when I finally have a place all to myself so I can go crazy with the Holidays!
